Welcome to Brian Harrington's Personal and Academic Homepage.

I currently hold a research and tutorial fellowship in Computer Science at Keble College, Oxford and lecture in the Oxford University Computing Laboratory.

In 2009, I completed my Doctorate in Computer Science at the Oxford University Computing Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Clark. I am also a member of St. Cross College, and a member of the Oxford Computational Linguistics Group. My research interests are in Knowledge Extraction and Representation in Semantic Networks. In particular my research focuses on the development of the ASKNet system.

ASKNet: Automated Semantic Knowledge Network
The ASKNet system automatically creates semantic knowledge networks from natural language text. It was developed as part of my doctoral research at Oxford University. It is still under heavy development. For further details, please visit The ASKNet Homepage.
